Oleen lähettänyt yhden tilaisuuden järjestäjille postitse maksun, mutta en ole saanut varmistusta, oliko tilaisuudessa vielä paikkoja ja sainko paikan minulle ja miehelle.
Kyse on melko hienosta juhlasta ja se ei ole petosta C:
Nyt minun pitäisi osata kysyä suht sujuvasti englanniksi sähköpostissa, että onko rahat vastaanotettu ja sanko varmistuksen siihen. Samoin kiinnostaa, onko tilaisuudessa lista josta meidän nimet löytyy, vai saanko postitse jonkun "lipun" että pääsemme osallistumaan?

I would like to inquire, if my and my husband's payment on .... (tähän se päivämäärä, jolloin olet maksun lähettänyt) has arrived and have we recieved admission in Your ..... (Mikä tilaisuus on kyseessä, et kerro).
If we were lucky and got admission, do You send us tickets or do You have a namelist on the door of, and we can check in upon arrival.

Voi lol, on the door tarkoittaisi että se on kirjaimellisesti ovessa vaikka teipattuna.
"do You send us tickets or do You have a namelist on the door of, and we can check in upon arrival."
Good Lord, NO. Tama on finglishia parhaimmillaan. "Namelist" = guest list. "On the door = at the door, tuo on the door merkitsee 'oveen naulattuna' :).
