juomia tehosekoittimella?
Meille tuli tänään mieheni kanssa mieleen, että aamuisin olis kiva juoda jotain pirteitä juomia, ikäänkuin aamupalan korvikkeeksi.
Olisko kellään joitain kivoja ohjeita, mitä tehosekoittimella vois tehdä?
Kiitos

What is it they say? Breakfast like a CEO, lunch like a middle manager and have your dinner whilst watching Holby city on the mini-telly in the night-watchman' s cabin. Something like that. Anyway, breakfast is important and we reckon that this is the BEST breakfast drink on Earth. It' s got oats for all of that slow release low GI energy you' ve been reading avout. And bananas, honey and dates, which aren' t too shabby in the energy department either. Just watch yourself go.
Tarvitset:
2 omenaa (tai valmista omenamehua, luomumehu on paras vaihtoehto)
1/2 banaani
2 rkl akaasia hunajaa
3 taatelia (medjool laatu paras, jos sellaisia löytyy)
200g maustamatonta luomu joghurttia
20g kaurahiutaleita
Valmistus:
Pilko omenat paloiksi, laita mehustimen läpi, kaada mehu tehosekottimeen. Lisää banaani, hunaja ja taatelit. Sekoita kunnes mukavan pehmeää. Lopuksi lisää joghurtti ja kaura, pulse 4 kertaa. 2 annosta.
If youghurt doesn' t agree with you, use 200 ml of soya milk instead. And check the pack - soya milk from the bean is best, rather than the stuff made from isolates, whatever they are.
eka perusjuttuja:
Kovat asiat mehustimeen (omenat, porkkanat) (juicer)
Pehmeät asiat tehosekottimeen (marjat, mangot) (blender)
Sitrushedelmät sitruspuristimella (appelsiinit, sitruunat)
WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS FRUIT?
JUICE IT:
APPLE - a juicing stalwart, used freely for its natural sweetness and ability to mix with virtually anything. Rich in beta-carotene and vitamin C, and great at helping the body to remove toxins.
BEETROOT - a super juice, ruby-eyed and very sweet. Rich in iron, so very good for the blood, and also believed to detox the liver and help your guts work properly. Might make your wee pink too.
BROCCOLI - number one veg on the innocent hit parade. It' s juice is a bit too strong on its own, but great when mixed. A nutrient powerhouse, stuffed full of antioxidants.
CARROT - arguably the finest, sweetest juice in all the land. Baby carrots are sweetest, big old ones can be a little bitter. The ultimate detoxifier, marvellous for a healthy liver and good for your guts.
CELERY - its high water content makes it great for juicing. Contains potassium and folic acid, and is thought to aid digestion.
MELON - all melons can be juiced for their sweet nectar, but when ripe, you' re better off blending them.
PEAR - a fine mixer when juiced, naturally sweetening all smoothies. A great cleanser, so good for the intestines and for detoxifying your tired old body.
PINEAPPLE - put them through your juicer for sweet nedtar (when ripe they can also be blended whole for texture). Great for digestion and your guts.
SPINACH - deep green spooky juice with a powerful taste. Rich in everything you need to stay healthy, including iron, potassium, beta-caroteine, vitamin C, calcium. Get it into your juicer now.
BLEND IT:
AVOCADO: blend them up to make very posh smoothies. Rich in both potassium and monosaturated fat, which are both good srouces of energy.
BANANA: great for naturally thickenking ans sweetening your smoothies. And they contain all 8 of the amino acids that our bodies can' t produce themselves.
BLACKBERRY: a sweet, rich juice, that' s great with apples and pears. Rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene and also helps the immune system fo function well.
BLACKCURRANT: sweet baubles of joy, super-rich in vitamin C. A great fruit to get into smoothies for kids.
BLUEBERRY: great with any of its dar berry sisters or with youghurt. Commonly believed to be the richest provider of antioxidants in the world of fruit and veg, pound for pound.
CANTALOUPE MELON: tons of vitamin A. In fact, a cupful of this juice will provide you with your recommended daily intake of the stuff.
CHERRY: blen whole for sumptuous smoothies (remember to take the stones out). A good source of anthocyanins, natural pigments that are thought to help prevent cancer.
COCONUT: if you' re using tinned coconut milk, find the one that doesn' t use additives and stabilisers. Rich in zink, potassium and a bit of vitamin C. Don' t try blending whole coconuts or even the white flesh. Your blender won' t like it.
CRANBERRY: very hard to find fresh so use frozen instead if necessary. Known for their great work in the area of the kidneys and the urinary tract.
DATE: best when blended with yoghurt and honey. And a very fine place to find a bit of calcium and iron for better blood and bones.
KIWI: a good place to get your vitamin C, which should help keep your immune system working well. Don' t over-blend, or you' ll crush the seeds and your drink will taste peppery.
LYCHEE: yet another good source of vitamin C and a very posh to boot. A lady' s love of lychees once started a war in China, but we haven' t got time to go into that now.
MANGO: these beauties are packed with beta-caroteins, which helps to maintain healthy eyesight and glowing skin.
NECTARINE: a fine provider of beta-carotene, magnesium and folic acid, the last being important for pregnant women.
PASSION FRUIT: surprisingly rich in vitamin A, as well as being a good source of vitamin C, iron and potassium. Tough stuff for one so delicately named.
PEACH: pretty much like nectarines, except hairier.
PINEAPPLE: these spiky chaps contain bramelain, an exzyme that aids the digestive process. Pineapples are also a good source of manganese, which boosts energy production.
PRUNE: let' s not beat about the bush. We all know what they' re good for. Off you go with the newspaper.
RASPBERRY: when they' re in season, make sure they' re in your smoothies. An expert at cleansing your guts and helping out with your waterworks as well.
STRAWBERRY: blend whole for deep red smoothies. Contain a multitude of nutrients, including potassium, which provides natural energy.
WATERMELON: great for dehydration and getting your waterworks to function nicely. Also good source of vitamin C and the antioxidant lycopene.
SQUEEZE IT
LEMON: naturally sharp and great at giving spark to a smoothie or juice. Lots of vitamin C and very cleansing - great detox juice.
LIME: a bit like lemons but smaller and greener.
ORANGE: a moothie staple, providing sweetness and tang. Great source of vitamin C, but we didn' t really need to tell you that, did we?
This is where it all began. And old classic, a family favourite, a timeless recipe from a era when things seemed a little more, erm, innocent. Anyway, this is the exact same recipe you' ll find in our bottles, so it should taste good.
2 1/2 omenaa (tai valmismehua)
7 mansikkaa
1/2 appelsiini
1/2 banaani
Make sure your fruit is clean by rinsing it under the tap before you start. Dirty fruit ain' t much fun.
When it comes to inventing smoothies we' ve tried most things. Bue some ingredients just don' t work. Some combinations taste like bad medicine. Allow us to take you on a tour of the stuff that didn' t make it.
TOFU: We had good intentions. Tofu makes us feel worthy. But in a drink, it' s just tof-ugly.
ONION JUICE: Wrong in so many ways. Looks like yellow milk, tastes like onion juice. Drink it and you' ll loos all of your friends.
CLAM JUICE: We once tested this out on Will, our American friend. His face went funny. Funny peculiar.
ORANGES AND ALMONDS: We like oranges and we like almonds. But when thry' re together something bad happens, like the opposite when Torvill met Dean.
CAULIFLOWER JUICE: You may be great with cheese, but never, ever come near my juicer again. Do you hear me? Take a walk, sunbeam. Stick to the cheese.
Healthy fast food is the holy grail as far we' re concerned. So we were chuffed when we found a real healthy fast food place right here in London. We thought it was only right and proper to give them a ring and see if they fancied chipping in a recipe. Luckily they did. It tastes mighty good.
1 omena
1 kurkku
3 appelsiinia
tuoretta minttua
Nutmeg - ancient spice, mild hallusinogen (if you eat about three tons of it) and saviour of rubbish rice puddings. We are honoured by your presence.
2 omenaa
1 iso kourallinen tuoretta pinaattia
reilusti muskottipähkinää
Mehusta omenat.
Ever wondered why your milkman' s so happy in the morning? Well, it might have somehting to do with the fact that he drank one of these before he came out to do his rounds, making him feel as perky as a badger. Could also have something to do tiwh the fact that his working day finishes at 9.30 am
