My wife does a lot around the house, bless her. Just doesn't give a shiat about doing anything right.



She's really good with money. Managed to get us $30,000 into debt in one year. Took me 5 years to pay that off.



She's really affectionate...with the kids. With me? She recoils in horror. If I want so much as a hug, I've got to talk her into it. Sex? I've got to take care of that myself.



She keeps herself looking nice. Well, her face anyway. She's about 50 pounds heavier than when we married, never exercises, except to lift her wine glass. And keeping the face looking nice apparently requires the entire bathroom counter to be covered in bottles (some spilled, none covered). Me? Haven't gained a pound since we got married, still 5'10", 155 lbs.



She cooks great meals. And leaves the kitchen covered in dirty pots for me to clean up. After I clean the kitchen at night, she kindly leaves the clean dishes in the dishwasher for me to empty the following night. Why is it that I can cook while emptying and loading the dishwasher at the same time?



She really loves her family. She spends all day on the phone talking to each sister and her mother every day.



She's doing a great job with the kids...of spoiling them. They're 9 and 11 and she still gets them water when they ask, so they don't have to look up from the Nintendo. They still can't go to sleep without her in the room with them. She doesn't want to hurt their feelings by asking them to pick up after themselves. Yes, they'll turn out to be adult children just like her.



It's a great situation here.



Overall, it's better than giving her half our savings (my savings, she hasn't saved a dime in 16 years), paying for two places to live, and having to travel to visit my kids.
