English is not for pussies. Only those who have balls of steel can manage it. Hopefully Tero will get his balls back.

Best Regards Tero2

Oh shit. I saw a Mongolian holding Tero's left ball in his dirty hands in my backyard.

I've heard reports that Mongolians are loading the right ball to a ballista in preparations to breech Presiden's castle.

No matter how hard you try, the Queen of England always speaks better English than you do. We don't want to be like Hyacinth Bucket, don't we? Maybe we just accept ourselves and the fact that we are not perfect. None of us is.

I feel you, but you must agree that there is a huge difference between someone who's fluent and culturally competent, maybe Graham Norton or similar, and Kimi Räikkönen or Olli Rehn. And I don't understand why anyone would be happy with the level of Kimi.

I believe many people would be happy with the level of Kimi. He's one of the richest sportsmen... You see, you can achieve things without a perfect intonation.

Yeah, but you've got to wonder if he even understands that he's rich. He seems cognitively very challenged.

When you are rich you don't have to pretend be rich via fancy language skills or anything else for that matter.

Wittgenstein said that "the limits of my language are the limits of my mind. All I know is what I have words for." If you think at a level where only the most basic vocabulary and grammar is used, that is the level of  your comprehension. Of course, it's possible to experience many things without knowing the words for them, but it's difficult to communicate them to anyone if you have no tools for that.

Does he seem of normal intellect to someone?

Intelligence is no substitute for wisdom. Atruism is the deepest love. You can love people around you even though you can't speak the same language with them.

English is not his mother tongue, as you do know. And he's Kimi, he doesn't have to do much anything anymore to please anyone.

I've met him, he is actually very smart, probably smarter than you.

Of course you can, but you don't need any language skills for that. If you want to share any information with other people though, language skills become quite an asset.

What a shame then that he seems such a thicko in English. And I personally don't like the fact that some people I've met abroad seem to assume that all Finns are socially and linguistically inept and rude like he is. I've never heard him speak Finnish so I'll take your word for his superior intelligence. I just find it hard to believe that someone who is fluent in his native language, would produce the sort of English that Kimi does. After all, he's lived abroad for ages and ages. You'd think that in that time, he would have acquired some social and language skills.

Make up your mind now... you just said that it's perfectly fine to sound like this sportsman. If it's okay to speak any language the way he does, it doesn't make a blind bit of difference if I write here that I would not be happy with his level of English. And to miss someone's presentation because you've gone to the toilet, and then brag about it on telly is not exactly loving or clever either.
