Mikä on lisensiaattitutkimus englanniksi?

Tietääkseni lisuri on aika lailla suomalainen koulutus ja sille ei taida olla suoraan englannin kielistä vastinetta, sillä se ei ole käytössä ainakaan usassa.

Eli, miten te englannistaisitte sen lisurin? Pakko se on jotenkin yrittää kommunikoida.

Contents of the Licentiate in Education degree



In order to complete the Licentiate in Education degree, postgraduate students must complete:

1) advanced studies in the major subject of their postgraduate degree unless these studies have been completed before admission to the postgraduate degree programme;

2) as studies included in scientific postgraduate education, postgraduate studies in the major subject amounting to at least 20 credits and agreed upon in more detail with the director of studies;

3) as minor subject studies supporting the postgraduate studies, other advanced, intermediate or professionally-oriented specialisation studies amounting to at least 20 credits and agreed upon in more detail with the director of studies (or, alternatively, laudatur-level studies in another discipline); and

4) a Licentiate thesis, which must be defended in a public examination.



The minor subject study module that supports the postgraduate studies must be well planned and defined in credits; moreover, it must demonstrate familiarity with practice in the field, and reflect awareness of scientific knowledge and the ability to apply it. The director of studies must approve the minor subject study plan at the start of studies. All changes are subject to approval by the director of studies, who will also confirm the completion of the module.



The postgraduate student may aim directly towards completion of the doctoral degree. It is, however, possible to first complete the Licentiate degree. The student will discuss the progress of postgraduate studies with his or her director of studies.
