How would you know? You don't become an authority on the English language or the way it's spoken around the world just because your English is less than adequate. You might think everyone's English is as terrible as yours, but it's not true.

There are other ways of practising your English skills as well... We Finns study too much English instead of using it. We should study the things we study in English instead on studying the language in itself. It is a huge waste of time. We might study mathematics or physics in English. We should not concentrate on the mistakes we make. We should concentrate on the things we are studying (for example maths...). A language is only a tool which helps you to achieve what you want to achieve.

I understand english better than I write or speak it. Thanks to internet and the games I have played and still play...

What games you toy?

Mainly DS / 3DS games when I don't have anything else to do.

Are you looking shooting skiing? Kaisa is best :)

Is Kaisa Mosquito hitting the targets well? Good skiier, crap shot.

Kaisa Mosquito should spend more time at the shooting range. She is not hitting the targets very well. Shoot skiing is a nice sport.

This sounds great in theory. I, on the other hand, have seen and heard too many math lessons in Finglish to know it doesn't work. When a teacher's English makes your ears bleed, it's really hard to focus on any subject matter.

Hear hear. The path to good language skill involves starting to think things in said language. All sorts of thinks, not just "err ... uuhh.. miten nyt äkkiä sanon XXXXksi hypotenuusa on kateettien neliöiden summan neliöjuuri". Think "hypotenuse is the square root of sum of squared cathetuses".

Contrary to common belief, proper English is not pompous. In real life, no one speaks rally English and everyone whose first language is not Finnish thinks it sounds retarded. Which it is.

In real life poorly spoken English the world's most common language.

A lot of money can be made even though your English is poor. You can create great friendships with bad English. You can travel and experience amazing things using poor English. We don't have to be perfect in order to enjoy the life.

If only all Finns would think like that instead of being nervous about their pronounciation.

And much more money can be made through the use of good English. And friendships are definitely greater, deeper and more meaningful when the frieds both speak their common language to a high standard. Perfection is not required, but only an idiot would settle for crap when they could do so much better.

When you listen to English maths lessons enough, you don't have to think about translating. You have the concepts in your head in English. In Finland we teach English by translating it. I think it is a time consuming method. We should forget we speak Finnish and start imagine that we live in an English speaking environment and we just have to survive there, even though we don't understand everything at the first place.

You have to learn the basics first before moving on to something more difficult, like studying mathematics or physics in English... This applies to drawing also.
