A small section of the airport’s Terminal 3 has been closed off as a result, Ritzau and Politiken report.
Copenhagen Airport press officer Kenni Leth said that the woman was taken from the airport by ambulance after arriving from China via Helsinki at 7:40am on Friday.
Following arrival, the woman contacting airport staff after feeling unwell. She was found to have influenza-like symptoms, raising concerns that she could have contracted coronavirus.
“Given that the passenger contacted airport staff with influenza-like symptoms we, in accordance with procedures agreed with authorities, contacted emergency services and the passenger was picked up by ambulance,” Leth said.
A small section of the arrivals area in Terminal 3, where the woman contacted staff, was subsequently closed off, according to the reports. The area is now being sanitized in accordance with procedure.
“You can still easily go to Terminal 3 and use most of the terminal. It is not affecting airport traffic,” Leth said.
