Hi all Finnish mothers!
I' m a young mother who is now living in Finland because of my husband' s work. We have two little wonderful daughters aged 4 and 3 years. I am mostly at home because I havent been able to meet Finnish people yet. Any ideas where I could go and meet Finnish mothers?

Generally, go to playing parks where the other kids are - you will find some parents too:)
They may look unfriendly but if you talk to them, I bet they will be friendly and also looking for company.
You can also try restaurants and cafes, the spacy ones. In Helsinki, there are always mothers and kids in Sanomatalo Cafe, and in Tampere you might find them in Stockmann (warehouse) Buffet cafe and Sokos (warehouse) 4th floor cafe.
and Sello, Iso Omena in Espoo, also Itäkeskus and Kamppi in Helsinki are all full of mothers and children!
check out " family cafees" organised by the association " called Mannerheimin lastesuojeluliitto (Mannerheim league for child welfare). We live in Laajasalo and there is some activity allmost every day..
