Chicagossa niin kuuma että lapset komennettu sisätiloihin
Forget nature hikes, canoe trips and group outings to baseball games.
Children at summer camps throughout the Chicago area have traded the great outdoors for the air-conditioned indoors lately, watching movies, working on craft projects and even playing board games as counselors try to keep them cool, hydrated and entertained during this week's oppressive heat wave.
"When I came in Monday and saw the seven-day forecast, I just knew we could not go outside," said Cindy Scroggin, a volunteer with The Ivy League, which operates a summer camp based in southwest suburban Mokena.
