We Should abandon Finnish and switch our official language to English. That would send a clear message to everyone that Finland is a great and welcoming country migrate to. Only way to pay our future pensions and take care of our elders is immigration and our language is the biggest obstacle for foreigners to get a job and integrate into our society. We should also take away all national symbols to deter people from becoming right-wing extremists. We could for example take the EU flag and change our name to Goodland instead of Finland. That would indicate all immigrants that this is a good place to come. However, language is perhaps the largest building block of patriotism and national feeling and that is why we have eradicate Finnish. People could still use it in the privacy of their homes but not in public life. English is the most obvious choice for our new national language because at least the young know it quite well and it is more impartial than Swedish, Russian or some other minority language in Goodland at the moment.
