World after old bulb

EU has prepared directives to curb energy use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Eco-design Directive, will bring energy-using products for energy efficiency requirements. Directive will change lighting solutions significantly in coming years.

Old bulbs producing ends, and new technology comes to market. This reduces emissions and users saves money because new lamps spend less electricity.

Since September 2009, manufacturers can’t deliver matt glass bulbs for sale. In September 2011 ends widely used, 60 W bulb manufacturing and one year later other bulbs.

The regulations will be reviewed every five years. Because manufacturers invest heavily in energy efficiency, it is expected that in 2013 demand levels continue to tighten.

Halogen-, energy saving- and led-lamps are good alternative for old bulbs. Chancing lamps could save 50% energy.

LED lamps are strongly developing, in future they will win energy-saving lights, and the consumer prices are likely to be reduced.

The development of the LED-lights is increasing and the consumerprices are expected to decrease. They are expected to be the leading brand in the light market.

Because the manufacturers invest heavily into the energy efficiency, it is expected that in 2013 the standards will be tighten.

Eco-design Directive, will bring energy-using products for energy efficiency requirements.

Hassu sanajärjestys.

Eco-Dasign Directive will bring energy efficiency requirements for energy-using products.

Old bulbs producing ends, and new technology comes to market. This reduces emissions and users saves money because new lamps spend less electricity.

Suosisin kuluttajaa käyttäjän sijaan.

Old light bulb production ends as the new technology enters the market. This reduces emissions and - by cutting the electricity use - saves the consumers' money.

Since September 2009, manufacturers can’t deliver matt glass bulbs for sale. In September 2011 ends widely used, 60 W bulb manufacturing and one year later other bulbs.

Aikamuodot kaivelevat vähän.

Since September 2009, delivering matt glass bulbs for sale has been prohibited. In September 2011 the manufacturing of the widely used 60 W bulb will end and in one year time the production of bulbs in general will be run down.

Halogen-, energy saving- and led-lamps are good alternative for old bulbs. Chancing lamps could save 50% energy.

alternetiveS - Changing lamps could save energy up to 50%.

LED lamps are strongly developing, in future they will win energy-saving lights, and the consumer prices are likely to be reduced.

Tuota win-termiä voisi tarkentaa, nyt tulee mieleen vain että lamput käyvät kaksintaistelun ja LED tökkää es-lamppua floretilla. Ja laittasin myös in THE future.

The World after the Old Light Bulb

EU has prepared several directives to control energy use and to reduce greenhouse gases. One of these directives is Eco-Design. It brings energy efficiency requirements to all energy using products. This directive will change the lightning industry dramatically.

The directive will shut down the production of the old light bulbs all together in September 2009. The production of the widely used 60 W lights will end in September 2011 and a year later also the production of lower efficiency bulbs will come to an end.

The regulations will be re-evaluated every five years. It is expected that the demands will be tighten in 2013.

There are good alternatives already on the market. Halogen lights, energy saving lights and LED-lights can be used in the same products as the old light bulbs. The save in energy use is 50% when using the alternatives.

The development of the LED-lights is fast and in the future they are expected to be more energy efficient than the energy saving lights. At the same time the consumer prices are expected to go down.
