Pyörin tuolla yhdellä ulkomaisella keskustelupalstalla ja löysin sieltä tämmöisiä.

The chances of getting pregnant in each cycle vary according to a wide range of factors, but perhaps the most important one is the woman¿s age.

- For a woman aged 20-25, the chances of conceiving are around 25 per cent for each cycle (that is a one in four chance)

- For a woman aged 30-35, the chances are 15 per cent, and thereafter the likelihood of becoming pregnant continues to decline with increasing age

- It will take a couple in their early twenties an average of five cycles to conceive

- Women in their early thirties will get pregnant, on average, after nine cycles

- One in ten couples will take more than a year to succeed in conceiving

It often takes a number of perfectly timed cycles before pregnancy is achieved. The chances of getting pregnant each cycle varies a bit with age. If you are 20-25, your chance per cycle are about 25%. From there they begin to fall off. At 25-30 your chances are about 20%. At 30-35 they are about 15%. After 35 they may be about 10% per ovulatory cycle, and the chances continue the downward trend.

This means that the average woman under 30 will get pregnant within 6 cycles. If you don' t succeed after a year, it is a good idea to consult a fertility specialist. Women in their early 30s get pregnant on average by the end of 9 cycles. Mid-30s would be a year. If you are over 35, you should consult a fertility specialist if you have not achieved pregnancy within 6 months. Why 6 months when it can take a year? Because your chances of conception are lower and miscarriage rates are higher -- it is better not to waste time.

About 20% of couples who are trying to become pregnant will be successful in the first month; 50% after 3 months of trying; 75% after 6 months of trying; and 85-90% after 12 months of trying. About 10-13% of couples do not get pregnant even after a year of trying.

Your chances of getting pregnant each month depend on many factors such as your age and how long you have been trying. But in general:

- There is a 15%-25% chance of becoming pregnant in each ovulatory cycle. But you need to do everything right.

- About 40% of couples starting out will conceive during the first three months of trying.

- About 70% of couples will conceive during the first six months.

- Up to 85% of couples will conceive within the first year.

- About 50% of couples who have not been able to conceive within one year will still be able to get pregnant on their own in the second year.

(tässä tutkimuksessa mukana olevat käyttäneet FAM-metodia (fertility awareness method) eli lämpöjen mittaus, limojen tutkiminen jne)

Kyseessä saksalainen tutkimus. Ne jotka tulivat raskaaksi (iästä riippumatta), heistä 42% tuli raskaaksi kuukauden kuluessa, 75% kolmen kuukauden kuluessa, 88% kuuden kuukauden kuluessa, 98% vuoden kuluessa. Ikä vaikutti siten (katso kuva 4 artikkelissa), että 31-35 v hedelmällisistä naisista raskautui 68% 3kk kuluessa ja n. 85% 6kk kuluessa. (käänsin tämän keskustelupalstalta, en itse jaksanut kahlata koko tutkimusta läpi.)
