Oikeuden päätös: naiset huonompia kuskeja

A Spanish judge ruled in favor of a driving school that was charging women more for driving lessons than they charged men. The school offered men unlimited lessons until they passed their test, priced at 665 euros. Meanwhile, women were asked to pay 850 euros for the same deal during November 2011.

The Zaragoza Driving School was fined 4,000 euros for sexual discrimination, but Judge Albar overturned the ruling when the school appealed. The school had supplied the court with research to prove that men were better drivers. The research showed that women needed more driving lessons than men to pass their driving tests.

The judge himself then proceeded to cite information received from Spain's Directorate of Traffic. He said that the information made it blatantly clear that "every single year, men displayed greater dexterity and better open road skills" in their driving tests than females.
