We can't get enough of an X Factor love story - so why are we missing out on one?

Viewers have taken to Twitter to question why ITV aren't giving any air time to Saara Aalto's fiancée, Meri Sopanen.

Fans of the show have posted asking why Meri is never shown and why the show wants to "hide that side" of Saara, while some were completely unaware of her relationship.

One fan wrote: "Did anyone else not know Saara had a girlfriend? Why is this never shown?"

Another posted: "Why do they never show Saara with her girlfriend? Do they want to hide that side of her?"

One fan who was unaware of Saara's sexuality wrote: "I just found out that Saara Aalto is bi and has a girlfriend oh my god I had no idea"

And another said: "Omg I had no idea that Saara Aalto has a girlfriend!"

On the other hand, others seemed to be sick of the sight of Saara's significant other.

One viewer tweeted: "Saara's girlfriend annoys me, I feel like she tries to be in every picture and every shot so that people remember that she's taken!"

The pair, who have been together for two years, got engaged recently.

The X Factor star, who is dating superfan Meri, was asked by her partner during a night on the sofa in their pyjamas, and was left stunned.

She told OK! magazine : "I washed off my make-up, put on my pyjamas and sat on the sofa. She just said: 'Oh, we had a lovely day…' Then: 'Will you marry me?'"
