Vai onko se helvetin tie? THE CHURCH IN AMERICA IS A MESS WHEN IT COMES TO DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE

One of the biggest differences we've seen over these last years, between the church in Europe and the church in America, is how many people inside the church are getting divorced and remarried. This is not just happening all over, but many people are also accepting it like it's no big deal.

Yes, divorce and remarriage inside the church is a problem in Europe also, but it's still nothing like what we've seen here in America. We've seen so many Christians getting divorced and remarried here in America like no other place, and I want to add that I've traveled to over 30 countries. There is still no place where this is happening as much as we see here in the USA.

It's almost like an epidemic inside the church - something that has spread so much that it has already become very difficult to say something about because we don’t want to hurt the people around us - because there's a big chance those around us are already in their second or third marriage. But, if no one speaks up now, this will only go one way - and that is the wrong way.

What you and I think about this is actually not the most important thing. The question is - what does God say about it? Just because we call something a marriage doesn’t mean it's a marriage in God's eyes. Just because we're quick to go to the wedding and bless the new couple doesn’t mean God is blessing it.

We've seen Christians very quickly clapping their hands and joining in with these second and third marriages without giving a second thought to how God looks at it, but as I said, just because we have a wedding doesn’t mean God is in it, and we should never approve of something God doesn’t approve of!

Yes, every case is different, and we understand some people have a past before they got born again. But, here we're focusing only on born-again, Spirit-filled Christians who should know better. I'm only talking about those who call Jesus "LORD, LORD!" and who read His Word, but it looks like He's only LORD and His Word is only true as long as it doesn’t go against their happiness. Yes, we want people to be happy, but not just happy here and now - also for all of eternity!

I guarantee you that a person will always be more happy staying single with Christ, than going into an unholy marriage and end up losing Christ. I'm not saying it would be easy to stay single, but in the long run it will be much more difficult to lose the reward of the eternal life we have in Christ!

Don’t go there, and don’t be too quick to bless something God is not blessing! By doing this, we allow it to spread even more into the Body! Let’s stop clapping our hands and accepting every wedding as being God's will, when we know it's the second or third time getting married as Christians.

Let’s come back to the fear of God and stand on His Word! Let’s stop playing around, and let’s set a new standard, based on the Bible! It starts with you doing what's right, even though it will be hard, and you might lose some friends because of it…. But you also might win sone friends instead, and they will be eternally thankful for you and your stand on the truth which saved them from making a big mistake!

No matter what the people around us say, or who we might reach, it still comes down to God, and doing what's right in HIS eyes!
